Transportation Awards Cox & Company contract for New Jersey Transit
Bi-Level Car Program
New York, N.Y. June 15, 2004 Bombardier Transportation has awarded Cox & Company a contract for the design, development and supply of Heating System Components for the New Jersey Transit Bi-Level Car Program. Cox & Company, Inc will be supplying a variety of custom heater products used for passenger comfort and door system freeze protection applications including electrical air heaters with integrated fans, baseboard heaters, door pocket heaters and water tank innerline (immersion) heaters. In addition, Cox will also be supplying threshold heaters through a teaming partnership with Hudson Machine Works of Brewster, New York. The NJT Bi-Level Program is the latest Cox contract award for custom heating system components on new car and fleet retrofit programs. Since the inception of this latest Cox product line in 1995, the company has produced over 50,000 individual custom heating components for the transit industry.
